My eight-year old loved the first Map It! book, so I knew he would enjoy this one, too. It covers the second half of the states. Basically, you just search for a bunch of random towns and cities on each state's map. I don't even quite understand why my son likes it so much, but he really does. It took him about a week to find everything, but he was also pretty intense about it. If the publisher reads these reviews, I'll add... I would love to see a world map version of these books. :)
Love this activity book Rand McNally and we are so happy you came out with volume 2. My and husband and I are map geeks and after we completed Map It volume 1 we couldn't wait to get volume 2!! Thank you Rand McNally for all of your new products and we always look forward to getting your new updated Road Atlases!! Also our daughter and her friends who are in their twenties are enjoying Map It as well and it's great to see they are learning how to read maps and taking a break from their smart phones!
This is a good idea,.... a seek and find map book... But the obscure places they tout,.... that you will be now privy to,..... well,... you need a lighted magnifying instrument to be able to read this map and find these places... As looking for the obscure,..... the type is very tiny... It is worst then trying to find Where's Waldo ,..LOL...... I would not purchase this version again,..... unless they came out with the larger print in it.... I was also disappointed it only contained a few states,.... and not the entire U.S........ My husband is a map fanatic, he loves his maps,.... and he hated this , and the teeny-tiny print.... I thought I had made his day,.... getting this for him,.... and it was a huge bust.... Complain, complain, complain.... I even went out and bought a page magnifier,.... and that didn't really help much,.... as you had to get it just right to see the teenie tiny print as well... Major Eye strain.....
Great map work activity. Wish print were a little larger. Also, a couple of states that I have found so far have missing segments on the map. Bummer!
I am obsessed with this book! I took this book everywhere. People kept asking me if was I taking a trip. The book is well worth the price. When I finish, I thought about buying it again just for the adventure and fun. Big thanks and appreciation to the seller!
Loved this different type of puzzle book, esp since I enjoy traveling and reading maps!! Fun to do!
Already had the 1st book and now I have the second one that covers the whole United States.
Enjoyable and educational. Even more fun than watching The Weather Channel.
